Susan has been working with women and babies for 15 years. She is originally from the East Coast but has called Colorado home for more than 20 years. She earned undergraduate degrees from CU, Boulder (BA, 2002) and from the Medical University of South Carolina (BSN, 2004). Prior to becoming a midwife, Susan spent 8 years working as an OB nurse and childbirth educator in the Front Range. She received her MSN from Frontier Nursing University in 2013. Following, she practiced Midwifery in both the hospital and birth-center settings, specializing in holistic, low-intervention care. She moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2016 and has been a PRN midwife for VVH since. When not at work, Susan loves spending time with her husband and three kiddos in our beautiful mountain community.
