Dr. Joel Dickens was our doctor throughout my second pregnancy and birth of our daughter two years ago. He was great about answering any of our questions and addressing any concerns we had along the way. He never made me feel like any of my questions were unimportant or silly and I was never made to feel that my concerns were irrational. Dr. Mang-Smith is one of the best doctors I’ve had in a long time. She is sharp, attentive, perceptive, a step ahead of me even. I went in for something pretty basic, that thing that is necessary but most women avoid. She asked important questions and offered great solutions to some things I hadn’t even considered addressing. She ordered an important test and the radiology department called me to schedule before I even drove away from the medical building. Dr. Mang-Smith is a Women’s health physician, after all, which covers a lot more than I was even thinking about. I also left with a book and a prescription. I think my life is about to get a lot better. More

My husband and I switched to VVWH for a second opinion after a rough start to our pregnancy journey. We have nothing but GLOWING reviews about the care we recieved at VVWH. The clinic was incredibly professional, on time, clean and we loved all of the staff we worked with. We thoroughly enjoyed each of the midwives and doctors that assisted us throughout the 9 months. Our time at the hospital was wonderful. I ended up having a csection and felt very comfortable with the entire procedure. We spent 3 nights in the hospital afterward and learned a lot from the staff and nurses there. We will definitely be returning to VVWH in the future! More

I am so appreciative of the whole team here! From my first ultrasound/appointment to postpartum care was just amazing. I always felt welcome, updated and always had all my questions answered. I bounced around from nurses, midwife’s and doctors. I didn’t meet anyone I didn’t like or felt uncomfortable around. All amazing! As well as front desk staff! I chose elective induction. It was definitely a process but something I wanted and I followed my gut. Glad I did because I carried him so low for like 3 months which did take part in me hemorrhaging. My baby also pooped on his way out. We were both okay! I felt like I had every nurse, midwife and doctor in my labor room lol! I felt safe, calm and comfortable the entire time! I’d like to say thank you to every employee member from front desk, nurses, doctors and midwife’s at womens health/birth center for helping bring our baby boy into this world and keeping us both safe/healthy! I can’t name every person but the names I did get were Alex midwife, Anna night nurse helped us settle in our labor room night before baby came. Amazing people! Alex came and talked to you quite often and chit chatted sometimes about just life. Kelsey, Katie day nurses did great I was wanting to move around a lot more then they wanted because they needed readings so they did great being patient with me. Kerrie midwife is I believe who actually helped me through labor from the start of contractions to birth. She stayed calm but was firm with me to make sure I understand and focused which is what I really respected and needed. Emily came by to say hi and ended up helping Kerrie fix me up great team work. Laura night nurse was one of my favorites maybe because we spent so much time together or that we just clicked more. She was right there by my side through pretty much my whole labor. Held one of my legs up when I asked lol. Comforted me during rough contractions. Regardless who you get during your doctors appointment to labor and delivery you are in great hands! I wish I made a better list of all who I saw during this journey and all who assisted in labor and delivery room but I’d just need the full list of employees 💗💗. I love almost every doctor and midwife at this place. They are completely open to any of your ideas of how you want your birth to go. They spend a lot of time with their patients, making sure they have answered all questions. They even have a counselor or therapist who sees you if you’re having and mental health concerns about the pregnancy or situation. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because you do tend to have to wait a while prior to being seen. Otherwise, I love them. More
